Navruz holiday information for parents

Nowruz - New Year according to the natural calendar!

Navruz holiday in the East is celebrated on March 21- in a day spring equinox when Nature wakes up naturally, when day equals night and with each subsequent rotation wins a few minutes from her in favor of light, when a new round of renewal begins and a new solar year begins. Nature does not need to invent something specially, all her "holidays" are located at special points of the Annual circle - points of Power, when the Sun, Moon and all Nature have special qualities. On the day of the vernal equinox, a new Sun is born and the Earth wakes up (it’s not for nothing that Earth’s day is celebrated on March 21).
It is logical that in many cultures of the world it was customary to celebrate the holiday of the Sun, warmth, light and renewal on the day of the vernal equinox according to the astronomical solar calendar. For example, on March 21 in Ancient pagan Russia it was customary to greet the New Sun (read New Life, New Year) with its smaller copy: a yellow, round and hot pancake! Now the Maslenitsa holiday has remained, but under the influence of Christianity it has shifted in time and turned into a “seeing off winter”, although before it was a full-fledged New Year's holiday.
But the Iranian and Turkic peoples, despite the domination of Islam, managed to defend their pre-Islamic holiday of spring and the New Year - Navruz (from the Persian "new day"). The origins of the Navruz holiday are rooted in the pre-literate era of human history, when the cult of the Sun was just beginning to emerge among farmers. Navruz acquired the official status of a religious holiday of Zoroastrianism in the Achaemenid Empire around 648-330. BC e.
Currently Nowruz is widely celebrated as the beginning of the New Year in Iran and Afghanistan, as Public Holiday- in Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Albania, Iraqi Kurdistan, India, Macedonia, Turkey; and also in the south of Russia: in Tatarstan, Bashkortostan.
The traditions of celebrating Navruz have practically not changed throughout its centuries-old history. They carefully prepare for the holiday in advance: they arrange a general cleaning in houses, yards and streets, be sure to wash all available clothes, and pay off debts. On the eve of the holiday, before sunrise, it is necessary to complete all the preparatory chores: cooking festive dishes, cleaning the home and decorating the rooms with flowering tree branches.
The most important day of the holiday is the first, March 21. On this day it is customary to cover festive table and treat all acquaintances, neighbors and everyone you meet with "New Year's" dishes, the main of which are khalisa and sumalak (they are prepared only once a year - on Navruz). Khalisa is prepared from seven types of cereals with the addition of meat, and everything is boiled to a state of homogeneous mass. And sumalak is made from germinated wheat grains with the addition of flour and sugar. They begin to prepare these complex dishes on the eve of the holiday. All women of a large family, community (in modern conditions of high-rise buildings - neighbors) gather at large boilers and stir the dish all night long so that it does not burn on a wood fire. Often a handful of small stones are placed at the bottom of the cauldron, not as a seasoning, of course, but so that when stirred, the thick ritual dish is better ground and does not burn. It is believed that if someone accidentally gets a "lucky" stone, then he will definitely be lucky in the New Year. So that the long and laborious process by the fire does not turn into a tedious duty, it is accompanied by music, songs and dances, thereby starting a cheerful meeting of the New Day. And in the morning, each woman will take home her share of the common cauldron.
The traditional ritual in Navruz is the compilation of haft sin. There should be seven (haft) products on the table, the names of which begin with the letter "sin" of the Persian alphabet: rue seeds - sipand, apple - seb, black bones - siahdane, wild olive - sanjid, vinegar - sirke, garlic - sir and sprouted grain - sabzi.
On Navruz, the festive table must be decorated with dishes symbolizing the rebirth and new life: sprouted grains of wheat, boiled eggs, a glass of water with a live fish. In addition, pilaf, shurpa, boiled lamb and kok-samsa (pies stuffed with young greens) are certainly served on the table. And in general, the more various dishes and sweets there are on the festive dastarkhan, the more prosperous and fruitful the coming year will be.
In the next thirteen public holidays it is customary to visit each other, visit elderly neighbors and relatives, arrange fun folk festivals, festive markets and sports competitions, as well as plant young tree seedlings and start field work. The first furrow in the New Year, following the old ritual, is carried out by the oldest and most respected member of the community. Be sure these days you should receive the blessing of elders, parents, mentors. It is believed that as a person spends the days of the celebration of Navruz, so he will spend the whole next year. In addition, the people remember another ancient legend: on the days of Navruz, angels descend to earth, bringing good and prosperity to people, but they only enter the house where peace and harmony reign. That is why people try to forgive each other's debts, forget about enmity and resentment. As the folk legend says, it is very important who will be the first guest in the house: on the first day of the New Year, everyone is certainly waiting for a kind and honest person who brings good news and good luck.
And it’s not entirely clear: does Navruz act like this, or does the Sun finally come into its own, but these days people really become kinder and brighter, every soul rushes to its true roots, to nature, rejoices in every green blade of grass and crawled out insect , in a word - with all his heart he loves life, both his own, and that New one that blooms around.
Isn't this magic?
Happy holiday, dear ones!

Now the Navruz holiday has come. May the Persian New Year, like a generous oriental guest, bring to your home, dear friend, the most precious gifts: family warmth, mutual understanding with relatives, a cozy atmosphere, financial well-being! Congratulations from the bottom of my heart!

Happy Navruz, I congratulate you and myself.

And I wish you happiness, and that there is a family,

Dance "Kara zhorga"

Leading: Today we have gathered in this hall to welcome spring. The spring holiday of Nauryz has come to our Kazakhstan land. And today we will have a lot of fun, joy, songs and dances, many guests. Here are the first guests. It was a grandmother with her grandson who came to us from the village. Go ahead, sit down in the most honorable place. We ask you, Azhe, to tell us about the traditions and customs of the Nauryz holiday.

Grandmother:

Since ancient times, the eastern peoples have celebrated Nauryz. The essence of this holiday is the unity of man with nature. Nauryz is celebrated on the day of the spring equinox. At this time, the day equals the night, the equinox comes from March 21 to 22. From now on the days become longer and the nights shorter. People prepared in advance for the meeting of this holiday. Cleaning of housing and neighborhoods was carried out. The holiday began with a greeting. You need to say hello with both hands. Then everyone went to the steppe to bow to the sun. Men, taking shovels, go to clear springs and plant trees. Young people give gifts to each other. Specially for the holiday, Nauryz-kozhe is being prepared from seven components. It is eaten to the full so that the next year will be fruitful. These days it is important to receive a blessing - baht. This wish is a parting word from the elders. Toward evening, aitys begins - a verbal competition of akyns, accompanied by a dombra. Both men and women, old and young can participate in it. Aitys continues until dawn. At the height of the holiday, young people gather at the swing - altynbakan. Everyone sings songs, dances, has fun and plays national games. This is how the spring holiday of Nauryz is celebrated!

Song "Nauryz"

Leading: But something our guests are sad, even sad. What made you so upset?

Grandmother: Now I will tell another story that happened in our village. We had one girl, her name was Kenzhekey. She was kind and cheerful, always helping people. Everyone in the village knew and loved her. But once the evil Dev found out about our Kenzhekei, about her kindness and cheerful disposition, disliked her for this and turned the girl into stone. All the people in the village are grieving, they don't know how to help her!

Leading: Dear Azhe, we would love to help Kenzhekei, but we don't know how to deal with the evil Dev.

Grandson: I know what to do! The tricks of the evil Deva are told in fairy tales which I love. Dev does many evil deeds, but he can be overcome by one who is brave, honest, brave, who is always ready to help those who need it, who are in trouble.

Leading: Guys, do you know such a batyr?

Everything: This is Kozy-Körpesh!

Leading: Let's call him!

Everything: Goats-Korpesh! Goats-Korpesh!

Kozy-Korpesh enters.

Kozy-Körpesh: Hello friends! I heard that you are calling me. What happened to you?

Leading: Yes, we called you. We really need your help. Evil Dev has bewitched our Kenzhdekey and turned her into stone. We need to save the girl, otherwise how will we have fun on Nauryz when she is in trouble.

Kozy-Körpesh: Oh, that Dev. How many times have I taught him, there is no use.

Well, no problem. I know how to save Kenzekey. But I can't do it alone. I think you can help me. And can help smolost, ingenuity, fun and friendship. I have a magic stone, here it is. If we are cheerful, brave, my stone will gain even greater strength. With each song, with each good deed, this stone will increase, and as soon as it becomes very large, a miracle will happen, Kenzhekei, beloved by all, will return again. You just need to believe in yourself, be careful.

Attention game. If you agree, then clap. If you don't agree, then stomp.

The national dish of the Kazakhs is khachapuri.

Nauryz is the new year according to the Eastern calendar.

Song.

Kozy-Körpesh: Look, the stone has become a little bigger.

Dev runs into the hall (woo-woo!)

Dev: Again you stand in my way! This time you can't get away from me!

Leading: And we'll see this! After all, it is not in vain that people say: "There are many friends - the road is shorter." Come on, bytyrs, come out, show strength, dexterity!

Dance of the batyrs.

The game "Two batyrs" (Dev plays with them and loses)

Leading: Give us back our Kenzekey!

Dev: Never. You can't see your girl!

Kozy-Körpesh: Give me Kenzekey! I'm asking for the last time...

Dev: What?

Kozy-Körpesh (cunningly): Let's arrange a small aitys in honor of the holiday.

The song is aitys.

Dev (aside): Look how well they sing!

Kozy-Körpesh: And now you!

Dev sings badly, gets lost all the time, everyone laughs at him.

Leading: You can't sing!

Dev: I'd rather dance. I'll just call assistants.

Dance of the Maiden with devils.

Leading: Well, the dancer of you, only made everyone laugh! Better give our girl!

Dev: What more! Let's compete again.

Game "Push out of the circle."

Dev loses everywhere.

Kozy-Körpesh: And the stone has become even bigger!

Host (Devu): Well, nothing works for you, give Kenzhekey!

Dev: Never!

The grandson addresses the Virgin: Do you want to listen to our song?

Dev: And what is it about?

Grandson: About spring, about the holiday.

Song

Dev: I'm tired of listening to your songs! I love to play!

Leading: What?

Dev: How to what? Asyki is my favorite game.

The game "Get into the hoop asyk"

Dev (angry): all the same, you won’t defeat me and you won’t see your girl! Now I will enchant everyone - I will turn them into a circle of stones! (conjures)

Leading: Friendship cannot be overcome. Here's what people say (proverbs and sayings about friendship)

There are many friends - the road is wider.

Friendship is strong reciprocity.

Friendship and work - all grind.

To live without friends, what to eat without salt.

- Ұlys on bolsyn, ak they say bolsyn.

- Kayda barsan, zhol bolsyn.

Kozy-Körpesh: Your power is gone. My stone has grown!

Dev (woo): runs forward with his back, Kozy-Körpesh chases him, runs out the door and returns with Kenzhekey.

Leading: Here is a miracle happened! We have defeated evil and Kenzekei has returned.

Kenzekey: Thank you, friends, for not leaving me in trouble and saving me from the evil Dev. Take in this song.

Song Kenzhekey.

Dance "Nauryzkok"

Leading: Nauryzkok is a bird that flies to Nauryz. People are waiting for her with impatience, they feed her, they try not to frighten her away. Nauryzkok is considered the bird of happiness in the East.

Enter Kadyr-ata.

Kadyr-ata: The chirping of birds and your ringing songs helped me on my way to you.

Congratulates everyone on the holiday.

Even performs Nauryz-bata (blessing)

Leading:

Our whole region seemed to have turned

In a huge toy, cheerful toy

And Nauryz suddenly left

Leaving spring behind.

We will remember him for a long time.

Remember the holiday with love.

And a year later, full of events,

Nauryz will come to us again!

Dance with dombras.

Leading: And the big bag?

Nowruz: Big, heavy! Oh, I'm sorry for the gifts!

Leading: Guys, let's look for a bag! Maybe he's somewhere nearby. Look, maybe it lies under your benches?

Children bend down, turn around in search of a bag.

Batyr comes out (Child)

Batyr: Look, look! Here it is! It's under a bush!

Batyr quickly approaches the bag.

Batyr: It's good that the bag was found! Now we will untie it!

Leading: Oh no!

Batyr: Why?

Leading: This bag is kind of weird. Moves by itself.

The bag begins to move and bounce, scaring the children.

Batyr: And, really! Something strange has happened to this bag. Only it still needs to be unleashed: two deaths cannot happen, but one cannot be avoided!

Unties the bag. From the bag jumps Shurale-leshi from Tatar beliefs.

Batyr: What else is this? What is a forest monster?

Shurale: Monster? You yourself are a monster! And I am Shurale! The most cunning, the most dexterous, the most beautiful! (He takes out a mirror in a wooden frame and admires himself. Then he turns to those present with offense.) But you didn’t recognize me! They didn't invite you to the party! Offended the good Shurale! For this, I will spoil the whole holiday for you! I have already hidden your gifts. To the promised place. And now I'm going to tickle the kids! They won't be able to play any game! (Running past the children, pretending to want to grab them.)

Batyr: Look, you broke up! And well, give gifts to pick up, hello, otherwise it will be bad for you!

The host gives Batyr a rope. Batyr throws one end to Shurale, and they begin to pull the rope. Batyr clearly has the upper hand, but is in no hurry to finish the competition - he shakes Shurale at the end of the rope from side to side.

Shurale screams.

Shurale: Hey, hold on! Gonna fly Now! Oh save! I'm lost!

Finally, Batyr releases the rope from his hands, and Shurale flops to the ground.

2 (2 leading ) Nauruz - a ritual holiday of the Tatars

Nauruz (Nooruz, Navruz) - the spring holiday is celebrated annually on March 21. The word Nauruz is translated as "new day". The history of the Nauruz holiday has about three thousand years. This ancient holiday in the East symbolizes the end of winter and renewal, the awakening of nature.

3 (1 leading) According to an old tradition, each participant in the holiday must fulfill three conditions:

Plant flowers and at least three tree seedlings;

Set yourself up for good deeds and joy, make peace with those with whom you were in a quarrel;

Also strive to live in a new way, honestly and with dignity.

4 (2 leading) before the onset of Nowruz, it is customary to clean houses and pay off debts;

To put up with loved ones, relatives, and people with whom they were at enmity

Cooking national dishes

Visit each other

5 (1 leading) The celebration of Nauruz began with the traditional meeting of the dawn, from the ancient ritual "If you see a spring, clear its source." Meeting the dawn, all the adult population, youth and children, taking shovels in their hands, gathered at the spring and cleared it. Then, all together, under the guidance of respectable old men, they planted trees!

6 (2 leading) It is believed that the more cheerful and joyful it is, the more generous nature will be to people. Therefore, ritual songs of Nauruz are poured on this day, people dance and have fun, rejoice at the arrival of spring, give gifts to each other.

7 (1 leading) Round cakes made from wheat, barley, millet, corn, beans, peas, lentils, rice, sesame and beans were laid on the festive table.

8 (2 leading) The most famous holiday dish is sumalak, a dish made from sprouted wheat germ.

9 (1 leading) Long ago, there lived a family of three.

They ran out of food, leaving only flour, cottonseed oil and wheat that sprouted. The mother did not know what to cook from, and the children really wanted to eat.

She decided to use what was left. I put stones and all these ingredients on the bottom, stirred, stirred and fell asleep.

In the morning the whole family woke up, and

something very tasty was being cooked in the cauldron.

This dish helped them to escape

from hunger and added strength.

Since then, this dish has been one of the most

chief on the table.

10 (2 leading) And Nauruz was celebrated for a week, or even two - it all depended on how
prosperous people.

11 (1 leading) Navruz is considered the largest
of all the holidays of worship of the sun and fire

12 (2 leading) When evening comes, the ancient rite of purification by fire begins. People kindle bonfires and jump over the flames, leaving, according to legend, all illnesses and troubles in the past year. It is important to be able to jump over the fire seven times. Then they say that any, even the most cherished desire, will come true

13 (1 leading) "Let the holiday of Nowruz be happy"
