You can make amazing decorations out of plastic packaging. Amazing crafts from plastic packaging What can be done from an egg box

March 20th, 2013

In order to come up with a new toy with a child or make a simple craft, you don’t need much. Usually enough free time and our imagination. And what to do? - available at hand. My son and I already have a whole fleet of yogurt jars, and the best ships we have come from viola jars and soft butter. We will devote this review to toys and crafts that you can make with your child from all sorts of "garbage" - boxes and boxes, cardboard, plastic bottles and much more.

1. Cardboard boxes and boxes

Let's start, perhaps, with crafts from boxes and smaller boxes. Boxes of different sizes regularly appear with each of us (especially during the holidays), but we usually try to get rid of this "happiness" as soon as possible, since it is quite inconvenient to store them. But you can immediately put them into action

Big boxes.

Oversized boxes make absolutely amazing toys for children.

6. Straws for cocktails

With the help of such tubes, it is very interesting to draw with cartoon bubbles.

And the tubes are great as a mast for boats.

You can come up with many different games with such tubes. For example, you can arrange "air" football. Roll up a small ball out of paper and use the tube to drive the "ball". By the same principle, you can play who will fly the ball farther or who will get to the finish line faster. This kind of games are very useful, it is a kind of breathing exercises.

7. Sponges

Even the most ordinary sponge can turn into ....

a garden bed (it's fun to germinate seeds in a large-pored sponge)

Or make stamps for drawing or just paint with a sponge (rainbows come out especially well)

And to make it more convenient to draw with such stamps, you can glue them, for example, on a wine cork, as here

You can also make sponges, for example, heads for robots

8. Wine corks

On the Internet you can find a huge variety of photographs on the topic of crafts from traffic jams, but we will limit ourselves to stamps only.

Eggs can be eaten both fried and boiled, added to various dishes, or simply cooked for breakfast. Who doesn't love them?

In addition to the fact that eggs are delicious and useful product, their shell can be used for creativity and interior decoration. Many people know about it. But few have heard that egg cartons can also be useful at home. Don't rush to throw them away!

Using the egg carton

    1. With the egg carton, you can easily store ketchup and mustard bottles, for example. First, the content will be easier to extrude. Secondly, the bottles will not fall when you open the refrigerator door.

2. Idea for creativity. The kids will love it!

3. In egg containers, you can store all sorts of little things for a themed party: cupcakes, flowers, toys.

14. This is how some students keep their school supplies

If your family lives in a private house and keeps their laying hens (beauty! ..), then the question does not arise: what to do with empty cardboard trays? Most urban residents, on the contrary, have the opportunity to attach egg containers to their business - after all, this is an excellent material for children's creativity (and not only)! They are easy to cut, easy to paint, easy to make holes or turn into paper pulp for papier-mâché. Today we will review interesting crafts that you can easily make with your child.

Flowers, bouquets, wreaths

Bright artificial flowers are useful for creating a festive mood: decorative bouquets, wreaths, panels, postcards - choose what you like. Cardboard roses, daffodils, cyclamens, daisies and other flowers are quite simple to make: we need egg trays, scissors, glue, wire, corrugated paper, paints (gouache, watercolor, acrylic), buttons, beads or beads if desired.

Roses: separate single segments from the tray, carefully trim the edges and cut out the petals. Bend the edges outward with your fingers. We make the inner petals - cut one container, round the edges and roll it into a tube. Then we connect the core and outer petals with glue. For the splendor of the rose, you can add more individual petals. After the blank dries, paint it with paints. We pass the wire through the bottom and wrap it with colored paper. Leaves can be cut out from the back of the package or from any cardboard (and do not forget to paint them).

To make an open daisy-like flower, simply cut the sides of the cardboard segment into eight pieces and decorate them nicely. In this case, you can string a button or a bead on the wire - you get a beautiful core of a flower.

Candy cockerel

Again, we disassemble the tray into separate cells: 5-6 cut into eight feathers according to the “chamomile” type (to the middle of the side of the cell). Slightly bend the edges outward: a couple of cells are weaker (for the head), the rest are more magnificent (this will be the neck). Then we take glue in our hands and make a pyramid slightly tilted to the side from the cells. We make a comb, beard and beak from the lid of the egg tray - and attach it to the head.

Now we inflate the balloon and wrap it with strips of newspaper soaked in glue. We add the last layer of white paper, and after drying, the ball is blown off (and removed). Carefully cut off the edges so that we get a capacious cup. We glue a cardboard ring-stand to it below. We fasten the head and tail feathers from cardboard. It remains only to color the candy box.

Hedgehogs from egg trays

We take cardboard and twist it into a cone about 15 cm long. Cut the egg packaging and make a hedgehog face: remove the bottom from one cell, cut one of the side folds and fold the cardboard so that one of the four walls is under the other edge (in the cut - triangle).

We glue the muzzle to the base cone, add round ears from two bottoms of the cells, a nose from the tip at the junction of the cells and bead eyes (or buttons - but you can just draw it). From the rest of the tray we cut out needles (exactly the same as flower petals or rooster feathers).

We glue them one by one so that the needles of the new row fall into the gaps of the previous one (like seats in a cinema). We draw paws on the egg cell, cut it out and glue it. And now - for the colors!

funny insects

Caterpillar, butterfly, ladybugs, spiders - you can't make anyone out of egg trays! For the caterpillar, we cut off one row of trays, paint, add small details - and you're done. A butterfly, in addition to everything else, will need wings made of paper or cardboard - every kid will surely want to paint them with patterns. We make spider bugs from individual tray cells.

Ladybugs will need to glue on six cardboard legs, and spiders need as many as eight - ideally made of wire wrapped in papyrus paper - but why not experiment with improvised materials?

Jellyfish from egg trays

Everything is quite simple here: individual cardboard cells turn into the heads of marine life, and anything can act as tentacles: from knitted ribbons to a banal serpentine. We select the appropriate color for each jellyfish, make eyes and a “smiley” - and you can hang it even on a garland, at least on a Christmas tree, at least on some accidentally empty lonely nail.

toy men

Many progressive designers and artists today prefer projects to reuse waste materials. Among them is the artist Michelle Pacey, who is not afraid to professionally engage in such a banal thing as egg trays. So, toy people, outwardly resembling Lego and characters of old computer games, are glued together from a pair of cardboard cells, and hairstyles and clothes are made from scraps of fabric. It looks like Michel is giving us a good idea: why not create a whole collection of fairy-tale heroes and characters with different professions together with the children?

Paintings on an unusual canvas

Why not take a large square tray, paints, brushes - and turn it into something derived from painting and sculpture? Separate cells can be painted in such a way that they will resemble, for example, the tops of bananas and various fruit and vegetables, flower petals, and other details of the picture. This new style of "eggcubism" (egg cubism) was founded by the Dutch artist Enno de Kroon.

The painter says that he always liked to play with the distortion of the image, which confuses the viewer, makes you think about the very manner of viewing the picture and look at the environment from different perspectives.

The main highlight of such caricature "canvases" is that, depending on the viewing angle, the view of the picture also changes. Try painting a couple of trays yourself - at least this activity will give you and your children an evening of unbridled fun.

Well, we don’t end there: we have the second portion of interesting crafts from egg trays ahead of us - so don’t rush to throw away such valuable creative raw materials!

The papier-mâché technique is in great demand not only as a way to create the most beautiful crafts, interior items, but also as one of the types of recycling of outdated newspapers and egg boxes. This skill is now very common, used in educational institutions, including kindergartens. The created products are durable, smooth and resistant to weather conditions, so they can be placed in rooms, left on the street, as an element of decor in the courtyard of a private house or garden.

The technique involves the use of two methods - pasting a certain base with newspaper pieces or modeling from a special mass. In this case, egg trays are often used. Having collected them, you can make a fairly large sculpture for a winter or summer garden. And all you need is egg trays, water, glue.

PVA is the most common option. Its advantages include ease of use and the ability to form a waterproof film on the surface of the craft. This allows you not to use varnish to cover the surface in the future and expose the products to the street without fear that they may be deformed.

Craftsmen often use wallpaper glue.

But for papier-mâché, it should be slightly diluted with water. Crafts made using such an adhesive will not be "afraid" of mold and fungus.

If it is not possible to purchase glue in a store, you can cook a well-known and affordable paste at home.

With the help of cheap components, especially egg trays, which are almost always thrown away, you can make any gizmos, decorate the living room, nursery, kitchen with them. Often, it is with the help of this technique that craftsmen create beautiful sets for decorating the kitchen, table lamps in the form of fairy-tale characters, or Egyptian cats for decorating a living room.

A feature of the technique and the main key to success is the accuracy of the modeling. One of the important factors is to let each piece of the craft dry well. In this case, it will not fall apart and will not change over time.

Papier-mache master class: flowers

Using glue and egg trays, you can make beautiful flowers.

This will require:

  • 5 egg trays;
  • Water;
  • Scissors;
  • PVA glue;
  • White acrylic or gouache;
  • Thermal gun;
  • Thick wire (will act as a stem for a flower);
  • Paints, brushes.
  • Colorless nail polish.

Depending on how many colors you plan to make, you will need a certain number of pieces of wire. There can be 3, 5, 7, 9, 12 - as many as you like. By the way - for flowers, you can make a beautiful vase using the papier-mâché technique.

The adhesive composition is pre-prepared: egg trays are soaked in warm water, after swelling, the water is drained and PVA or paste is added. The composition should have the consistency of not liquid, but not thick sour cream.

First of all, you need to stick the composition on the wire. Moreover, if you plan to make a rose, you immediately need to blind the stem with thorns. Leave until completely dry.

Flowers and leaves are made using the sculpting technique. They can be of different sizes, curved shapes or have even contours. To understand how to mold them, it is enough to remember how plasticine crafts are molded. The technique is identical.

All parts of the flowers are covered with white. It is better to give preference to gouache or acrylic coatings. Any paint is then easily applied to them. After drying, the parts are painted in the appropriate colors: green - stem, red, orange, yellow - flowers, depending on which type of flowers is chosen.

The buds are attached to the stems with hot glue. At the end, the surfaces are torn with a colorless nail base. On the flowers you can seat butterflies, ladybugs.

Papier-mache decor elements using egg trays (video)

Papier mache for the garden

Hedgehog. It will look beautiful and original in the garden with hedgehog flowers and you don’t need expensive components to make it. Papier-mâché hedgehog for the garden is a wonderful element of decor. You can blind them a whole family. The main thing is to show maximum imagination. The hedgehog is based on an ordinary light bulb, because it resembles a hedgehog in structure. But, it is possible to make an animal by sculpting from a mass of papier-mâché (egg trays, water, glue).

If the method of using the base is chosen, then the light bulb is pre-lubricated with oil so that it is not difficult to remove it later. Things will go faster if two light bulbs are at hand. The composition is applied to half the base, and immediately you need to form the muzzle of the animal and spines. After drying, the halves of the future crafts are removed, glued together with the “Moment”. Legs are made from adhesive.

The craft is covered with acrylic and painted in the appropriate color. Eyes, nose are drawn with a marker.

Dwarf. Thanks to the papier-mâché technique, the masters make the most interesting compositions. And in the event that artistic talent is present, then there is an opportunity to create large sculptures for the garden, for example, a gnome. Of course, it will take much more time to make, because street gnomes are quite voluminous sculptures. And here it is important that every detail dries well for the strength and durability of the structure.

Need:

  1. 5 liter empty plastic container (torso);
  2. Balloon or ball (head);
  3. 30-40 egg trays;
  4. Water;
  5. PVA glue or paste (about 1.5 l);
  6. Paints and brushes;
  7. White enamel;
  8. The coating varnish is colorless.

A plastic container and a ball are covered with a mass of papier-mâché. After drying, the bases are removed, and the cut halves of the torso and head are glued together. A mass of papier-mâché are interconnected. The face and hands are formed from the adhesive composition. After a while - the rest of the parts - a headdress, fingers, legs. After drying - cheeks, nose, eyes, beard. There is nothing complicated about this, the most important thing is that the material must dry well, so there will be a lot of it, and if this rule is violated, the sculpture will “float”. You can make a gnome for the garden in different poses - he can sit, stand or look out, as fantasy will tell.

I have always considered myself an expert in needlework. But, when they asked me where in our city Correx is sold, I thought about it. What is this material, for what? Obviously not worth a penny! Thanks to the search engine for helping to sort out the issue. Now when it appears candy box interested not only in its sweet content.

Crafts from packages

I consider this material just a godsend - I ate sweets, got inspired, and left the correx for needlework. It has many uses ranging from simple pen holders to reuse in the kitchen.

This collection presents the best options on how to create do-it-yourself packaging crafts. Feel free to call the children, they will cope with the majority on their own.

original crafts

If the candies in the box are over - it does not matter, we will make new ones! This is much easier than it looks. All you need to buy is chocolate chips and nuts for the filling. The number of candies depends on the capacity of your form.

If you can't find crumbs in the store, buy a few bars of quality chocolate or make your own frosting. It is not necessary to take white chocolate, you can do only black.
