Dragonfly crochet assembly: sew all the details according to the pattern.

Inspired by a dragonfly I saw the other day. Can be used as an applique for children's clothing, a decorative element, or a toy for a child.

I’m still in doubt whether or not I will use this knitted dragonfly on my large composite napkin, it looks something like the photo below.

The size of the finished dragonfly is 6 by 7 centimeters. A great way to use up leftover yarn.

Description and diagrams of a dragonfly.

It took 2 beads, a needle, hook No. 2, acrylic threads Crystal Vita yellow and white (250 m./50 g.). And a little patience :)

Only 3 parts. The first step is to knit 2 pairs wings. One is 3 loops longer than the other.

Let's start with the chain air loops yellow threads, then a row of single crochets and cut off the yellow thread with a long tip. taken from https://www.site

Attach a white thread and knit a row of single crochets in reverse side, while placing all 3 free tails of thread (2 yellow and 1 white) at the base of the row, so the wing will turn out to be a little more voluminous and will not curl too much. taken from https://www.site

The last row of white thread begins with 3 connecting stitches and ends with them, in the middle there are single crochets. We tear off the thread, fix it and mask it.

The wings look like this: taken from https://www.site

The “largest” and last detail is the torso and head. First, a chain of chain stitches is knitted, then it is tied along the contour with single crochets, half crochets, double crochets and double crochets in accordance with the pattern. taken from https://www.site

When we return to the “tail” again, we move with connecting stitches to the center and pass with connecting stitches (at the place where the starting chain of air loops was) until we reach the second double crochet (we will attach the first wings to it). We attach wings of shorter length and fix them with the next connecting post, tightening it tighter. Next on the body is a post with 2 crochets; we also pass it with 1 empty connecting post. taken from https://www.site

In the area of the second post with 2 crochets, we fasten the wings of greater length and use connecting posts along the central row (starting chain) to the end of the body. taken from https://www.site

It remains to complete the formation of the head, focusing on the diagram.

I cut the thread with a long long end, and using a needle I sewed on the “eyes” of the beads. I wrapped the “neck” once additionally with thread and loosely pulled the side edges at the narrow part along the wrong side, adding volume to the “tail.”

The actual glass is ready. taken from https://www.site

The instructions are much more difficult to read than the work being done; in fact, the insect is quite simple to perform, I just tried to describe everything in detail. :) Whoever performs it, please take a photo to the studio and good luck! taken from https://www.site
