We continue to share ideas on how to decorate your home and Christmas tree. These unusual threads will be ready in just a couple of hours. So, if you still haven’t decided how to decorate the Christmas tree, or don’t know what to do with your child during the holidays, take this idea on board.

How to make openwork Christmas tree decorations thread made from threads

In order to make openwork decorations for a Christmas tree (star or Christmas tree), you will need:

  • multi-colored threads
  • PVA glue
  • foam base
  • small nails or push pins

On a foam base (you can take a foam container, in which slices are packaged in supermarkets), draw the outline of the future Christmas tree decoration (star or Christmas tree), and insert small nails, sharpened matches or paper clips along the outline.

Pour PVA glue diluted with water into a saucer and soak the yarn in this solution. Wrap the glued thread around the nails, forming the boundaries of the toy, and lay curls inside these boundaries.

Let the thread dry completely. When the decoration becomes rigid, you can remove the carnations, attach a ribbon to the toy and hang it on the Christmas tree.

How to make a three-dimensional Christmas tree or ball from threads

For the Christmas tree you will need a sheet of paper, thread and glue. First, we roll a cone out of paper, wrap it in cellophane, then wind threads soaked in glue around it in a random order. When the glue dries, remove the cone.

We make a Christmas tree decoration in the form of a ball according to the same principle as a three-dimensional Christmas tree. The only difference is that instead of a paper cone we take a balloon. And when the ball of thread dries, balloon we pierce it with a needle to remove it from our craft.

Both Christmas trees and balls can be supplemented with safe candles or garlands.

How to make a star from threads and sticks

For this Christmas tree decoration you need to take five sticks of the same size: these can be toothpicks, kebab sticks or just tree branches. We glue them together, as shown in the picture, cover them with glue and wind the thread.

Christmas tree toys made of threads and cardboard

Even children can handle these thread Christmas tree decorations. To begin, we cut out a figurine of our future Christmas tree toy from cardboard (a triangle for a Christmas tree or an asterisk). Then we cover the cardboard base with PVA glue and wind threads on it. In the end you can.

Christmas tree decorations made of colored threads: wreath and angel

To make such toys with your own hands, follow the instructions in the pictures.

We make a wreath: for this, a cardboard “donut” and wind threads around it, tying the ends at the outer edge of the “donut”. Once the entire wreath is covered in yarn, trim the edges to make an even circle.

You can make an angel from threads using fluffy wire and a wooden bead.

DIY crafts for the New Year from threads and glue

Crafts made from threads and glue have gained particular popularity among needlewomen in recent years. And this is not surprising; the products turn out to be very delicate and winter-patterned. Easy to make and very original. We have put together some cool master classes for you that you can get inspired by!

Christmas tree made of threads and glue: step-by-step master class

The most popular craft made from threads is a Christmas tree made from threads and glue. It is very simple to do, but looks very impressive. To make it you will need: a paper cone, thread, PVA glue. Wrap the glue-coated threads tightly around a paper cone. After the glue has dried, remove the cone and the Christmas tree is ready! Additionally, you can decorate it with beads, sparkles, ribbons, buttons and more.

DIY mini Christmas tree made of threads

Another simple version of a Christmas tree made of threads that can be made with children. For this New Year's toy you will need: a foam cone, knitting threads, felt, a pompom for the top and any decorative elements. Lubricate the foam base with glue and wind the thread tightly. Thread a thread through the pompom and glue it to the top. We cut out a circle from felt, the diameter of the base of the cone, thread a thread with a bell through it and glue it to the base of the Christmas tree. Now all that remains is to decorate the little forest guest and you can hang it! See step-by-step MK below.

You can make original Christmas tree decorations from knitting threads and glue. These can be stars, Christmas trees, balls and other figures. The main thing is to master the technology, and then it’s up to your imagination. So, to make it you will need: thick yarn, PVA glue, a disposable tray (thermal box or something similar), safety pins (you can use matches or small nails). Place the desired figure on the tray with pins. Coat the threads thoroughly with glue (better pour the glue into a container and place the thread there). Wrap the thread along the contour of the figure, and then fill the inner space. Wait for the glue to dry completely and remove the pins. Attach a thread and the Christmas tree toy made from glue and thread is ready!

Balls made from thread and glue are very popular as crafts; they are also called cobweb balls. You will need for needlework: sewing thread, PVA glue, balloon, oil (sunflower or body oil) or Vaseline. First, inflate the balloon to the size you need. Then lubricate its surface with any fatty oil or Vaseline. Pour the glue into the container. Wind the threads around the “fat” surface of the ball, do not forget to leave “extra” threads so that the web ball has something to hang on, and then lower it into a bowl of glue and twist it well. After all the manipulations, we send our ball to dry. After the glue has completely dried, the ball must be removed; this is done by piercing a hole.

Star of David made of thread and glue

For this craft you will need push pins with caps, a board, cling film, PVA glue, threads. Cover the board with film and stick buttons in the shape of a Star of David. Wrap threads around one triangle, then the second, generously coat them with glue. When the glue is dry, remove the buttons and tie the triangles together at the intersections. The craft is ready!

If simple crafts from threads, in your opinion, is for weaklings, then it’s time to move on to serious needlework! It's time to take the hook out of your craft box and get real handmade.

So, for those who have just begun their acquaintance with crochet, we offer a simple volumetric Christmas tree. To make this you will need: thread, hook, paper cone, glue. We collect a chain of air loops(you definitely went through this in labor lessons at school), and then glue this chain in a circle to a paper cone. The Christmas tree is ready; if desired, it can be further decorated.

Crocheted Christmas tree: step-by-step MK with photo and description

For those who are at least a little familiar with crocheting, we have an excellent master class on creating a crocheted Christmas tree. There are no tricks here, just a simple double crochet stitch. For those who are not familiar with knitting techniques, we recommend watching this instructional video. So, for a fluffy Christmas tree you will need: threads for knitting “grass”, a hook, beads and ribbons for decoration.

Let's move on to the description of the work: you need to knit a Christmas tree in two threads. To begin, cast on 56 air loops and close them into a ring. The second row, like all subsequent ones, is knitted with double crochets. Starting from the third row, you need to decrease 4 loops in each row, i.e. We divide the number of loops in the row by 4, and we get the number of loops that do not need to be knitted (56/4 = 14, i.e. in the third row we do not knit every 14 loops). The number of stitches in the 4th row will be reduced by four and will be 52 (56-4=52). Again we carry out simple mathematical calculations and find that we need to skip every 13th loop (52/4=13). And so we continue. In the last rows, the reduction will have to be done by eye.

Now the Christmas tree is ready, all that remains is to decorate the knitted beauty, and you can put it in a place of honor!

Using a crochet hook you can knit not only Christmas trees, but also other themed crafts, for example, an advent wreath. Make 15-16 air loops from the threads and close them into a ring, then knit three more rows with a regular single crochet, and then secure the thread. The wreath is ready. To decorate with red thread, make 30-35 air loops, pull them through the wreath and tie them with a bow. Crochet the wreath is ready!

Crochet Christmas tree toys

Another option for New Year’s crafts made from threads can be a knitted cover. You can knit “clothes” for a store-bought ball, which, for example, has lost its appearance, or, as in our version, for an old light bulb, thus transforming an unnecessary item into a Christmas tree decoration.

Crafts from pompoms for the New Year

The most noble material for crafts made from threads is pom-poms. There are many things that needlewomen make from them: Christmas trees, wreaths, snowmen, various animals and much more. Making a pompom is very easy, you can use special device, cardboard circle, hand or fork. It all depends on what size pompom you need. But the essence is the same everywhere: wind the yarn around the base, fasten it in the middle with thread and cut the ends. If necessary, trim the ends of the pom pom.

The more yarn you wrap around the base, the fluffier the pompom will be!

Christmas tree made of pompoms: do-it-yourself New Year's crafts

For pompom lovers, we offer a master class on making a Christmas tree. It is better to make pom-poms of different sizes, then the Christmas tree will look more harmonious. In this MK it is proposed to make the Christmas tree multi-colored, but you can use pompoms of the same color, for example, green, in which case the Christmas tree can be additionally decorated with beads. But the multi-colored forest beauty does not need additional decor!

Continuing the theme of pompoms, we invite you to familiarize yourself with a master class on making a New Year's wreath. You will need: a thick base, a lot of pompoms, glue. Cover the base of the wreath tightly with pompoms, wait until the glue dries and you can decorate your apartment!

DIY New Year's crafts from threads and nails

A great craft idea for the New Year would be a picture made of threads and nails or the so-called String Art. Making such a craft with your own hands is not difficult if you follow simple safety rules when driving nails. All you need is a wooden board, a suitable design, nails, a hammer, tracing paper and thread. Transfer the drawing onto tracing paper, attach it to the board and secure it so that it does not slip. Drive nails into the board along the contour of the drawing on the tracing paper, and then remove the tracing paper. Now all that remains is to fill the center of the picture with threads. Approximate New Year's schemes see below:

Nitkography: do-it-yourself thread paintings for the New Year

Threadography is a special technique of drawing with threads. Yes, we were not mistaken, namely drawing. This technique originated in Mexico, and today it has become quite widespread here. Even children can make pictures from threads, so you can safely take note of thread printing for New Year’s crafts. Beginners are advised to choose paintings without small details, so they should start searching for a suitable pattern in advance. For crafts using the nitcography technique you will need: cardboard (the basis for the picture), thick PVA glue, knitting threads (it is better if they are the same thickness), scissors, paints. Transfer the picture onto cardboard, coat the outline with glue and circle it with thread. Press the thread well so that it sticks. When the outline is made, all that remains is to fill it with thread. Examples of New Year's thread paintings can be seen below:

Crafts made from threads for the New Year using isothread technique

An excellent New Year's craft would be a painting using the isothread technique, or it is also called thread graphics. The essence of the technique is very reminiscent of String Art (paintings made from threads and nails), but instead of boards and nails, cardboard and a needle are used in isothread. This kind of embroidery is quite original and interesting, but it is not entirely suitable for children, as there may be certain injuries during the work. For New Year's crafts using the isothread technique, you will need cardboard, a suitable picture, thread, and a needle.

Master class on making Christmas balls from threads with your own hands

Vyaltseva Margarita Vladimirovna, student of the Blagoveshchensk State Pedagogical University

The master class is intended for school-age children and adults.

Balls made from threads look very original and do not require any special skills or money. And the use of these web balls is limitless: simply as a decorative element, as a lampshade, and as New Year’s toys. From several of these balls of thread you can make all kinds of toys: snowmen, birds, fish. In general, everything that is enough for your imagination.
In my master class, I want to teach you not only how to make a New Year's ball-web, but also to cultivate skills such as hard work, patience, accuracy and individuality.

For work we will need the following materials:
air balloons;
multi-colored yarn;
PVA glue;
water;

A bowl;
scissors;
decorations.

Let's get to work.
1. Dilute PVA glue with water, approximately 3:1. Instead of glue, you can use starch paste. To prepare it, take 3 teaspoons of starch per glass of cold water, mix thoroughly and bring to a boil.

2. Inflate the balloon to the desired size, give it round shape, tie it with thread.

3. Having unwinded the required amount of yarn, put it in a bowl and leave for 5 minutes.

4. Wrap the ball with yarn, first leaving a large distance between the threads. If you are unable to wind glue-soaked thread onto a ball, you can wind dry thread and then thoroughly soak it in glue using a brush or sponge.

5. Gradually reduce the distance between the threads until the entire ball is wrapped in yarn and resembles a cocoon. You can use yarn (threads) of any color or paint it with any paint or glitter (spray). Leave it to dry (at least for a day).

6. After complete drying, burst the balloon and carefully remove it from the thread cocoon.

How to make a New Year's toy from threads and glue with your own hands? In fact, there is more than one master class that talks about this in detail. If you look at the photos and thematic videos presented in this material, it becomes clear that such crafts are not only easy to make, but ultimately turn out stylish and beautiful.

Probably the most popular option in this regard is a do-it-yourself ball of thread. How to make this Christmas tree decoration so that it turns out original, beautiful and simply stylish?

New Year's toys do it yourself from threads

Shiny ball No. 1

To work on this craft, you need inflatable balls, PVA glue, as well as white thread, glitter and water, and a plate to pour the glue into. Be sure to dilute the glue with a small amount of water. If during work the glue begins to run out, add water to it. They will decorate both the Christmas tree and the room.

Inflate the balls to the size that you would like to get in the end. The creation of this craft from threads begins with the fact that you will need to tie a white thread to the tail of an inflated ball and begin to wrap the ball with thread. Then dip this blank into a bowl of glue diluted with water.

Be sure to turn the craft so that the glue saturates the threads on each side. Before the ball dries, sprinkle it generously with glitter on each side. Hang the craft on the surface until completely dry. The New Year's toy will be completely ready after the ball inside is specially burst and pulled out of the blank.

Ball No. 2

In many ways, the first and second New Year's crafts are similar, but there are differences in the final version. To work, you will also need balloons, as well as thick threads (in the first version of the craft, the threads could have been ordinary), PVA glue, a cup for glue, a thick needle and scissors.

Inflate the ball, obtaining the size that you want to see in the end for your craft. Tie tightly so that the workpiece does not allow air to pass through. Now pierce the plastic cup with a needle that already has a thread threaded into it. Pour PVA glue into a glass, diluting it with a little water.

Pull the thread through a cup of glue and wind it around the ball in a chaotic manner. When the entire ball is wrapped, leave a small tail and cut the thread. Leave to dry in a vertical position for a day. When the glue is completely dry, pierce the inside of the ball and take it out.

Advice! Additionally, this ball of thread can be decorated with snowflakes, sparkles, beads or beads, and New Year's tree tinsel.

Gift packaging

The photo shows that Christmas tree decorations can be not only excellent products in themselves, but also an addition. For example, an item made in this way will be an excellent addition to gift wrapping.

To work you will need a ball, a ball of thread, acrylic paint with a brush, and glue. You will also additionally need a screwdriver, scissors, a long piece of satin ribbon. Traditionally, you inflate the balloon and wrap it tightly with thread. Secure the thread with glue only in some places so that it does not move out in the end. Here it is extremely important to wrap the ball so tightly that nothing can be seen through the threads. Then cover the threads with a thin layer of glue.

Apply to threads acrylic paint using a brush. Remember that the paint here not only gives color, it also additionally holds the threads together, so don’t feel sorry for it. Hang the ball overnight to dry thoroughly. Then carefully remove the balloon itself from the cocoon. Next, cut the cocoon into two parts and make symmetrical holes on both sides with a screwdriver. Now put the gift inside, and then fasten the two parts of the ball together and tie a beautiful satin bow around the circle. How to do

The most best toys– made with your own hands. Available materials, simple technique and an impressive result - all this is about toys made from threads. So, how to make a New Year's toy from threads and glue and decorations for the home: patterns, options and tips.

On the eve of the New Year and Christmas holidays, I really want a fairy tale. Beautiful decorations on the Christmas tree, a festively decorated house will be created good mood. The best jewelry and toys are those that you can say you made them yourself.

To create toys from threads you will need a minimum of tools and skills. The technique and tools are the same in each case, but different results can be achieved.

Materials and tools for making toys

To work you will need:

  • scissors
  • PVA glue or wallpaper glue (diluted with water)
  • threads of different thicknesses
  • stationery knife
  • oilcloth (for bedding)
  • inflatable balls (round and long)

You will also need a little patience to wait for the blanks to dry completely.

Below are different models toys made from threads, and they are all based on the same technique.

Execution technique

The principle of creating three-dimensional toys from threads and glue is very simple:

  1. Inflate the balloon to the required size
  2. Wrap it with thread dipped in glue
  3. Waiting for it to dry completely
  4. Pierce the ball and carefully remove it from the workpiece

Practice shows that it is much more effective to wrap a ball with thread dipped in glue. If you apply glue to a workpiece wrapped with thread, it gets into the free areas, spreads over the ball, and does not completely saturate the threads. As a result, the workpiece turns out to be very sloppy.

It is much easier to pierce a tube of PVA with a needle and thread and pull the thread out from the other side. The thread will be evenly coated with glue as it is wound onto the workpiece.

The more thread you use on the workpiece, the longer it will take to dry and the denser the workpiece will be. Allow the pieces to dry overnight. After drying, pierce and remove the ball from the workpiece.

Now you can start getting creative.

Christmas balls

You can use multi-colored threads. After drying, decorate the balls with sparkles, stick on stars or snowflakes. Attach a loop.

Snowflakes

Draw a simple snowflake on paper and place a transparent oilcloth on it. Using glued thread, place the snowflake along the outline and sprinkle with glitter. Once dry, attach a ribbon to secure it.

Garland

Balls of thread and glue will turn an ordinary electric garland into an art object. You can connect several balls different sizes fishing line and you will have a garland for a Christmas tree or a chandelier decoration.

Balls hung in groups at different heights look good.

Volumetric heart

Tie two balls with tails and wrap them together to form a heart shape. Once dry, decorate the balloon heart with artificial flowers and ribbons or stars.

Wreath on the door

An original heart-shaped door wreath will be made from two long inflatable balloons. Make two parts separately: wrap the ball with thread and fix it in a bent state. After drying, carefully cut off the edges and connect the parts together with glued thread.

In the same way, you can make an original door wreath from threads: fix long inflatable balls in the shape of a semicircle and connect them after drying. Decorate it with toys and red ribbons.

In addition to toys, you can use this method to make a snowman, a vase for small items, assemble a Christmas tree from balls of different sizes and make a lampshade for a lamp.

If you know how to crochet, then you have the opportunity to create beautiful patterned toys and lampshades. The technique is the same, the only difference is one thing: a knitted napkin soaked in glue is applied to the mold (blank).

By combining threads of different colors, you can create original toys and decorative elements for your home. If the dried product is coated with transparent acrylic varnish, then it will delight and inspire you for a long time. There are many options for how to make a New Year's toy from threads and glue, anyone can do it, so involve all your family and friends in the work.
